I have all the major Critical Care Medicine textbooks. I believe that Marino’s book has the best volume/high yield ratio and is very easy to read. I got exposed to this book in my ICU days in residency and fell in love with the book.

I have an older edition of this book, and even then it was a “go to” book for almost anything critical care. This should be a requirement for advanced nursing programs.
This is by far the best book written on Internal Medicine! is a shame they discontinued to use it in Medical schools.
This book is a surprisingly easy read for such complex material. I found it very readable and informative during my ICU rotation.
What can I say? This is THE BOOK for Critical Care. No matter which Residency specialty or ICU (SICU vs MICU vs CCU, etc) you rotate through, this is the book to use for all the basic principles and fundamentals for ICU care.
